Sometimes, it can take a few days to get in to see the dentist. When you have a toothache, the two days will seem like an eternity. While you are waiting for your appointment, there are a few things you can do to alleviate the pain of a Toothache in Haleiwa. There is no need to suffer while waiting.

The first thing you need to do is see if there is an abscess in the gums around the tooth. Most likely there is going to be. Make a paste of baking soda, salt and water. Apply this directly to the gum and let it sit. At first it may sting a bit, but then it will stop some of the pain. It may also bring a head to the abscess so that it bursts. Do not swallow the fluid that comes out of the abscess. Spit it out and rinse your mouth with warm salt water. This should take care of most of the pain. However, the abscess will come back again, so make sure you keep the appointment with the dentist.

Another way to get rid of pain from a Toothache in Haleiwa is with cloves of clove oil. Put a whole clove in your mouth and chew it a bit to make it soft and to release some of its oil. Place the clove directly on the tooth that hurts. If the pain is in the gums, place the love there. This should alleviate quite a bit of the pain in just a few minutes. If using clove oil, you may want to dilute it with water before rubbing it on your tooth and gums. The oil is very strong and will burn for a bit before taking away the pain.

If you do not have cloves around the house, you can use fresh garlic for tooth pain. You may either chew it with the bad tooth, if possible, or smash it up a bit to place around the area that is in pain. You may want to wrap it in some gauze first though, to prevent the garlic from buring the skin.
